Spearhead Brewing Company

Every Sip Deserves an Encore

In concert with Sam Roberts Band, Spearhead presents Session Ale, a rocking blend of English and American ale characteristics, featuring distinct notes of caramel, subtle undertones of biscuit and a dry, zesty finish that strikes a refreshing chord. Brewed with four types of malts and three types of hops, Session Ale is unfiltered, naturally carbonated and has a complex flavour and aroma. Cheers!

Our Company

Founded in 2011 by Dimitri van Kampen, Spearhead Brewing Company is an independent craft brewery located in Toronto, Canada.  At the heart of Spearhead is the team of Dimitri, Martin Villeneuve, Tom Schmidt and their shared passion for brewing off-the-hook beers that we call Beer Without Boundaries®.

Beer Without Boundaries®

We brew our unique, handcrafted beer in small batches, using the finest, freshest ingredients and a spirit of adventure.  We may do some crazy, unusual things in making our beer, but for us that’s what it’s all about!  We hope you enjoy drinking our beer as music as we love dreaming it up and making it for you.

Real beer takes time. Take the time to enjoy real beer.™

Our beer is real beer, meaning it is unfiltered, unpasteurized and naturally carbonated.  There may be some sediment.  This is a good thing!

FOOD PAIRINGS

Session Ale’s balanced hoppiness and dry, zesty character make it a perfect beer pairing with a wide range of foods. Enjoy with hearty pub fare, burgers, pizza or spicy Indian and South-East Asian dishes. On its own it is dry, refreshing and super session-able.

The 2008 market crash took its toll on almost everyone. For Spearhead Brewery founder Dimitri van Kampen, it had a silver lining. When his career as an international project finance lawyer in London, England, went up in smoke when the recession hit, he was forced to take a step back and reflect on what his next move should be. The result? Spearhead Brewery, a major player in Canada’s up and coming independent craft beer scene.... Read More »
